The Dordt University men's track and field team competed in two events on the final day of the NAIA Indoor National Championships. The three-day championship event was held at the Alachua County Sports and Events Center in Gainesville, Fla.
Isaac Davelaar, seeded third coming into the championship, finished fourth in today's 600m final with a time of 1:18.07. The junior is now a two-time All-American in the event, placing fourth at last year's championship. This was Davelaar's third race of the 2026 championship event as he ran in the Defenders 4x400 relay on Thursday and the 600m prelims on Friday.
Willem Den Hartog was the final Defender to compete on the men's side and the junior tied for 12th in the pole vault. Den Hartog cleared his first two heights (4.55m / 4.70m) before going out at 4.80m to finish tied with Eli Stevens (Oregon Tech). Ridge Willard (Indiana Wesleyan) cleared 5.00m and won the championship.Â
Dordt finshed the championship tied for 36th place with eight points, scoring five with Davelaar in the 600m and three points with a sixth place finish in the 4x800 relay last night.Â
