(Friday, April 17; Sioux Center, Iowa) John Scherling has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender swim team.

Events: Freestyle, Breaststroke
Highlights:  Personal bests in the 50 free (22.74), 100 breaststroke (58.79) and was a Minnesota state meet participant in 2025 and 2026 and is the school record holder in the 100 breaststroke.
Why Dordt: "As a Christ follower, I'm looking forward to growing spiritually, athletically and academically to prepare for my future career. I belie Dordt has the resources to help me do this."
