(Tuesday, April 28; Sioux Center, Iowa) The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced the 2026 NAIA Men's Volleyball All-America Teams and Dordt's Colt Schmidt (Freshman; Palmdale, California) has been named to the honorable mention list.

Schmidt played in 103 sets as the Defenders posted a 22-10 overall mark and 12-7 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC) and led the team with 4.1 digs per set and also had 21 ace serves. His 426 digs establishes a single season record, shattering the previous mark of 261.

Schmidt was also named the HAAC all-conference second team and was picked as the co-Freshman of the Year in the league. 12 HAAC athletes were included on the AVCA list, either on the first or second team or the honorable mention list.
