(Wednesday, June 17; Sioux Center. Iowa) The 2025-26 Academic All-American Softball Teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators, have been announced. The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom, and two Dordt softball players earned the distinction.

Chloe Kreuz (Junior; Rutherfordton, North Carolina) and
Lauren Steenstra (Senior; Wyoming, Michigan), were both named to the second-team.
Kreuz adds this honor to an extensive growing list of accolades that includes First Team All-America recognition and GPAC Player of the Year honors this season. She batted .470 with 93 hits, 19 doubles, eight triples, 20 home runs, 68 runs batted in, 74 runs scored, a .949 slugging percentage, and 23 stolen bases. She also totaled 188 bases. Kreuz is already Dordt's career hits leader and posted a 7-1 record with a 2.77 earned run average in the pitching circle. She established Dordt single-season records in batting average, hits, triples, home runs, total bases, slugging percentage, and runs scored. Kreuz is a Nursing major and has maintained a 3.56 grade point average.
Steenstra was a Third Team All-American selection this season and a GPAC First Team All-Conference honoree. She compiled a .400 batting average with 19 doubles, 13 home runs, and 82 runs batted in. Her RBI total established a new school record and ranked third nationally in the NAIA. Steenstra leaves Dordt as the co-holder of the career home run record with 34 and is the program's all-time leader in RBIs with 173. She graduated with a 3.85 grade point average and a degree in Education.
To be eligible for Academic All-American honors, student-athletes must have attended their institution for at least one academic year, made significant contributions to their team, maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, and been nominated by a College Sports Communicators member. Five of the 21 members of the Academic All-America® NAIA softball teams maintain an impeccable 4.0 GPA in their undergraduate work or graduate school. The 12 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.93, with the entire NAIA team carrying a collective average GPA of 3.85.
