The Dordt University men's soccer team fell to Graceland 3-0 in its home opener played tonight at the Defenders Soccer Complex.
After the teams played a scoreless first half, Graceland scored the game-winner in the opening two minutes of the second period when Enoch Fanesi tucked away a rebound off a shot by Axel Bigler that deflected off the crossbar during the 46th minute. The Yellow Jackets went up 2-0 on a goal from Kaden Edward from an assist by Alex Iossa at the 68th minute. Five minutes later, Graceland finished off the scoring with a goal from Cale Williams.
The Defenders best scoring opportunities came in the first half on a pair of shots that hit the post from
Ike D'Silva and
Tate Hansen.
Graceland improves to 2-0 while Dordt is now 1-1-1 on the season.
