Box Score The Dordt University women's soccer team dropped its GPAC Opener to Concordia 3-1 in a match played this afternoon at the Defenders Soccer Complex.
The Defenders fall to 0-1 in conference play, 1-3-2 overall; Concordia improves to 1-0 in the GPAC, 2-2-2 overall.
Concordia netted a pair of first half goals, the first coming just 2:56 into the match when Addie Snyder scored off a deflection by Defenders goalkeeper
Lizzie Graham, who made a great save on a previous shot from Abby Haynes. Later in the half, Kianna Perez received a pass, dribbled to the corner of the penalty box and scored on a contested shot into the corner of the goal.
The Bulldogs netted their final goal during the 86th minute when Haynes broke free and on a through ball from Molli Kalsbeck and touched a shot past Graham, who collided with Haynes after the play. Following a long delay,
Lexi Terpstra put the Defenders on the board with a goal during the 89th minute, her first in a Defenders uniform.

- the Defenders held the edge in cornerkicks 5-3
