The Dordt University women's soccer team earned a 1-1 draw against College of Saint Mary (Neb.) in a conference match played this afternoon at Heritage Park in Omaha, Neb.
The Defenders are now 1-1-1 in the GPAC, 2-3-3 overall; College of Saint Mary also moves to 1-1-1 in the GPAC and 4-3-1 overall.
With Dordt trailing 1-0,
Maria Eenigenburg scored the equalizer during the 87th minute off a cross hit by
Maria Zylstra. This was the first career goal for the centerback Eenigenburg, who went up to play offense just prior to the scoring play as a target for the Defenders cornerkick.
College of Saint Mary grabbed a 1-0 lead late in the first half when Molly Williams scored off a through pass from Jimena Estrada Gomez during the 41st minute.
