Ian Eshelman

Hired in June 2024, Eshelman begins his second year as the Defenders' head coach. He served as an assistant in the program since the 2020 season (4 years).

Honors / Accolades/Highlights: 

2025
  • Coached Dordt to 18 wins (4th most in program history)
  • split a doubleheader with National Championship field qualifier Briar Cliff late in the season
  • three Defenders were named all-conference 
  • 11 Defenders received NAIA Scholar Athlete recognition
  • four Defenders named CSC Academic All-District
