Coaching Experience
2022-23 will be Pastoor’s first year with the Dordt strength and conditioning and track and field programs after four years in Omaha, Nebraska at a private sports performance facility called The Xplosive Edge where he served as an Assistant Director of Sports Performance, as well as the Internship Director. Pastoor will also serve as an instructor within the HHP Department.
While at The Xplosive Edge, Pastoor oversaw the training and programming for their high school and off-season collegiate athletes at their home facility while leading the recruiting, teaching, and development of their interns. He also assisted working with their professional and semi professional athletes which included a Super Bowl champion, multi-time All Americans, the semi-professional hockey team the Omaha Lancers, and members of the Jr. Olympics and Jr. National volleyball teams.
From 2016-18, he served as Graduate Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse while completing his Master’s, focusing on work with football, men and women’s basketball, and the track and field program.
In 2015-16, Pastoor interned at Central College in Pella, Iowa in the Strength and Conditioning program while he also coached the throwers at Pella Christian High School.
A 2015 Dordt graduate, Pastoor interned as a strength and conditioning coach across all sports as much as possible.
Education Degrees Earned
B.A. Dordt University (2015) with a degree in Health and Human Performance: Exercise Science.
M.S. University of Wisconsin, La Cross (2018) with a Master’s in Exercise and Sports Science: Human Performance, Strength and Conditioning.
Athletic Career Highlights
Competed as a thrower in the Dordt track and field program where he graduated with records in the weight and hammer throws.
