Dordt University

AT DORDT 

Jeff Zomer has been the coach of the Dordt University softball program since 2010 and has a 276-299-1 overall record and he’s the career leader in wins in the Dordt softball program. Zomer has coached the Defenders to six, 20-plus win seasons and 10 berths in the GPAC post season tournament.  

Zomer, a 2006 Dordt graduate, has served as an assistant softball coach, assistant baseball coach, and was the interim baseball coach during the 2008 season. 

11 of Zomer’s teams have been named NAIA Scholar-Teams and the 2022 team posted a 3.75 cumulative grade point average which is a program best.  54 athletes have earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors and Zomer has coached 30 NAIA Scholar-Athletes and 14 all-GPAC first-team honorees. 

Zomer has also served as an instructor in the Dordt health and human performance department. Zomer also works as the Dordt Recreation Center director.
