The Dordt University women's soccer team had its six-game win streak snapped as they lost to the University of Jamestown 2-0 in a conference match played tonight on the Defenders home pitch.
Dordt is now 6-3-1 in the GPAC and drops into fifth place in the current GPAC standings with a two matches left in the regular season. They are 10-5-1 overall. Jamestown, one of two teams from the GPAC recognized in the national poll, stays unbeaten in the conference and improved to 9-0 in the league, 10-4-1 overall.Â
Scoreless at the half, the Jimmies scored the game-winner during the 55th minute, 10 minutes into the second frame, on a goal by Kamryn Fiscus. Jamestown picked up an insurance goal at the 77th minute when Fiscus assisted on a successful shot by Gabby Sarkis.Â
