Goals by Karinna Tel and Avril Baccam put Dordt ahead 2-0 in a first half that the Defenders held a 9-1 shots on-goal advantage.

Tel scored her second goal of the match, an unassisted one, on a rebound off the Lancers goalie Kelsey Johnson during the 55th minute.
Ellie Stuart gave the Defenders a 5-0 lead when she drove one into the back of the net off another assist from Tel. One minute later, during the 59th minute, Hayden Jennett came up from her right defensive back spot and blasted a shot into the upper left corner of the goal to give Dordt a 6-0 lead.
