The Dordt University women's soccer team extends their win streak to three with a dominant 7-0 win over Mount Marty in a conference match played tonight in Yankton, S.D.
The win pushes the Defenders record to 3-2-1 in the GPAC, 7-4-1 overall; Mount Marty drops to 0-6 in the GPAC, 1-7-2 overall.
"We had a very strong second half after a sluggish beginning of the match," commented Dordt University Head Coach Alex Durbin. "It is good to see the team on a win streak and I hope we continue that into the weekend."

Karinna Tel and
Avril Baccam put Dordt ahead 2-0 in a first half that the Defenders held a 9-1 shots on-goal advantage.
The Defenders erupted for five goals in the second half, beginning with a textbook header by
Jori Bronner off a corner kick from
Katherine Kooiman with just 53 seconds gone by in the second frame. Tel scored her second goal of the match, an unassisted one, on a rebound off the Lancers goalie Kelsey Johnson during the 55th minute.
Ellie Stuart gave the Defenders a 5-0 lead when she drove one into the back of the net off another assist from Tel. One minute later, during the 59th minute,
Hayden Jennett came up from her right defensive back spot and blasted a shot into the upper left corner of the goal to give Dordt a 6-0 lead.
Eliza Evans completed the scoring with a breakaway goal on a long pass by Anika Terpstra at the 89th minute.
