Weg To Join Defenders

(Monday; December 19; Sioux Center, Iowa) Ellie Weg, a senior at Worthington High School (Minnesota), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender women's volleyball program.

"I'm very excited about Ellie joining our team. Ellie    Brings so much to the table and I couldn't be more excited to see what type of impact she makes on Defender volleyball," said Dordt volleyball coach Jacki Smith

Weg is a 6-0 middle blocker and played for the Southwest Minnesota Volleyball Club.

"I decided on Dordt because of the real relationships they have with their students and their ability to have so many possibilities as a smaller school and have a strong faith background. I also decided because it allowed me to continue playing volleyball at the collegiate level," said Weg.

Ellie is the daughter of Clay and Dannielle Weg of Worthington, Minnesota. She plans to study medical laboratory sciences at Dordt.
