7:30pm - Dordt vs Hastings Women’s Volleyball Game

Not a part of our formal weekend, but if you are traveling into town and would like to attend, we’d love to have you join us at the game!

9:15am - Informal Reception and Check In-Rec Center Lobby
Join us for coffee, snacks, and time to reconnect with former teammates. There will not be a formal agenda—we simply want to give everyone a chance to catch up!
9:45am - Campus Tours / Dordt Volleyball Alumni Game
Want to see what’s new at Dordt? Campus tours will leave from the Rec Center Lobby at 9:45 a.m. We’ve added quite a few new spaces and updates around campus, and if it’s been a while since you’ve been back, we’d love to show you around!
Want to see if you’ve still got it? We’ll also have The Vos Gymnasium court available at 9:45 a.m. for any alumni who want to get back out there and show off their game. Come ready to play, compete and have a little fun with former teammates!
- If you’d like to do both, you can join a tour at 11:00!
11:00am - Women’s Volleyball Serve and Pass (Optional to observe)
- No formal agenda, it is optional to observe!
12:00pm-Â 50th Anniversary Luncheon - Overlook
- Join us for a special luncheon featuring a formal program recognizing the coaches, alumni and people who have helped shape 50 years of Dordt Volleyball. Attire is casual!
2:30pm - Volleyball Pregame Devotions – Athletic Large Classroom (Attendance is optional)
3:30pm - JV Women’s Volleyball Game vs Doane – The Vos Gymnasium
5:00pm - Varsity Women’s Volleyball Game vs Doane – The Vos Gymnasium
Admission is free with your 50th Anniversary Lanyard! Reserved seating will be provided. We will be recognizing Dordt Volleyball alumni and coaches in between sets 2 & 3 of the varsity match.
50 for 50: As we celebrate 50 years of Dordt Women’s Volleyball, we’re also looking ahead to the next 50. We’re inviting 50 alumni to commit $50 per month in honor of our 50th anniversary. FAQ’s
Are parents, spouses, children, or other family members invited?
Yes! We’d love for your family to be part of the weekend. If you would specifically like to bring a parent, spouse, child, or other guest to the 50th Anniversary Luncheon, please communicate with Jacki Smith so we can update your RSVP and make sure we have an accurate meal count.
Do I need to be registered to attend the weekend?
If you RSVP’d, you’re all set! If you missed the RSVP deadline but would still like to attend, please reach out to Jacki Smith as soon as possible. Alumni are more then welcome to walk in to the early events of the day (Alumni game, campus tours, social gathering), we just need an accurate head count for the luncheon!
What should I wear to the luncheon?
The luncheon is casual! There will be a formal program honoring our volleyball coaches and alumni, but you do not need to dress formally.
Where do I check in when I arrive Saturday?
Saturday’s alumni reception will be in the lobby of the Rozeboom Family Athletic Center, aka the Rec Center! Stop by for coffee, to pick up your 50th anniversary t-shirt and lanyard, and to reconnect with former teammates and coaches.
Can I do both the campus tour and alumni game Saturday morning?
Yes! The optional campus tours begin at 9:45 a.m. leaving from the Rec Center Lobby. For those participating in the alumni game first, the tour will also be offered at 11:00 a.m. after the game.
