(Thursday, December 22; Sioux Center, Iowa) Isaac Kacmarynski, a senior at Pella Christian High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender football program.
Kacmarynski is listed 6-1, 205 pounds and passed for 1,044 yards and ran for 1,237 yards as a high school senior and had 83 tackles on defense along with two interceptions. Kacmarynski played linebacker and quarterback for the Eagles and was a three-year starter. He was named the district's offensive most valuable player in 2021 and 2022 and he was a first team all-state selection in 2022 and third team in 2021. Kacmarynski has also been selected to play in the Iowa Shrine Bowl this summer.
"I chose Dordt because of the community they have. The players are all committed to one goal and work together to get there. The coaches are great men who follow God and love football," said Kacmarynski.
Isaac is the son of Rich and Mindi Kacmarynski of Pella, Iowa. He plans to health and human performance.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
