RECENTLY

The Defenders lost to Concordia on Saturday afternoon by set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-17.  Alli Timmermans and Corrina Timmermans each had nine and eight kills while Danielle Vande Voort and Grace Langemeier each had six kills. Megan Raszler and Sophie Johnson accounted for 18 and 17 assists each and Makenna Kooima and Madison Vis got to 10 digs.

The Chargers have lost three matches in a row since a 3-1 win over Haskell and Briar Cliff has lost six of its last seven matches. Briar Cliff traveled to face Dakota State in Madison, South Dakota on Monday, September 26 and lost 25-20, 25-21, 25-11.  Chloe Johnson had a team high 10 kills and Sami Wasmund had six kills while Alexis Johnson had five. Emma Porter put up 16 assists and Chloe Johnson had 16 digs while Tannah Heath got to 14.

THE SERIES

Dordt has won nine straight matches since 2017 and leads the overall series 77-18.  On November 2, 2021 the Defenders were 3-1 winners behind Jessi Franken's 12 kills while Alli Timmermans and Ava Van Soelen had 10 and nine kills respectively.  Erica Bousema had 23 digs and Mia Gamet had 11 digs.  The Chargers got 12 kills from Tyra Blue and Abbie Erickson and Chloe Johnson each had seven kills.
