(Wednesday, January 18; Sioux Center, Iowa) Scott Kroll, a senior at Sergeant Bluff Luton High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender track and field program.
"Scott will be a great addition to our long sprinter group. He will be a great teammate and he has an excellent work ethic. He is a multi-sport athlete who was very successful in high school. We are looking forward to having him on the team!" said Dordt track and field head coach Craig Heynen.
Kroll qualified for the 2022 Iowa High School State Track and Field Championships and has a personal best of 50 in the 400 meters. Kroll has earned Academic All-State honors during his career and was a first-team all-district football pick.
"When I went on my visit everyone was helpful and made sure I had a good experience. Student involvement was a key part of my decision. I also chose Dordt because of the Christian values and how that is tied into everything they do," said Kroll.
Scott is the son of Brian and Nicole Kroll of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. He plans to study engineering at Dordt.
