Schroder To Run For Defenders

(Wednesday, January 25; Sioux Center, Iowa) Noah Schroder, a senior at Sioux Falls Christian (South Dakota), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender track program.

"Noah will be a great asset to our long sprinter group.  He has been a great teammate and performer for Sioux Falls Christian, and he will make our team better with his talent, hard work, and leadership.  We are very grateful he has chosen Dordt, and we look forward to working with him," said Dordt track and field head coach Craig Heynen.

Schroder has personal bests of 11.7 in the 100 meters; 23.0 in the 200 meters; 50.66 in the 400 meters; 2:03 in the 800 meters and 4:53 in the 1600 meters.  Schroder finished second at the South Dakota High School State Track meet in the 400 meters.

"I chose to attend Dordt because of the Christian aspect on things in and out of class and the small college feel of the college. I have heard good things about the nursing program along with the track and field program," said Schroder.

Noah is the son of Chris and Heidi Schroder of Hudson, South Dakota. He plans to study nursing.
