RECENTLY

Dordt defeated Hastings 71-61 and was up 34-23 at halftime. Lucas Lorenzen had 23 points and nine rebounds and two assists.  Jacob Vis had 22 points and seven rebounds while Cade Bleeker scored nine and Bryce Coppock eight. Dordt converted 28-51 field goals but were outrebounded 37-34.

Morningside went to Jamestown on Monday, January 30 and lost an 81-71 decision. The Mustangs were 29-63 from the field and made 7-15 three-point shots and were led by Ely Doble with 27 points and seven rebounds. Joey Skoff had 14 points and four rebounds and Aidan Van Otterloo had 10. Jamestown was 30-65 from the floor and 15-32 from the arc in the win.

THE SERIES

Morningside leads the series 11-1 since 2017-18 and won the November 16, 2022 meeting 85-80.  Dordt was down 41-35 at halftime but rallied to tie it several times, the last at 80-80.  Dordt had a shot to take the lead twice but missed on both three-point attempts and Morningside made three out of four free throws to secure the win. Jacob Vis led Dordt with 28 points and eight rebounds and Lucas Lorenzen had 18 points and eight rebounds. Joey Skoff was 10-16 from the field for 27 points and Trey Powers scored 13 with six rebounds.
