Dordt ties Doane 1-1
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dordt Defenders got an early goal from
Blake Hansen in GPAC soccer against Doane on Saturday afternoon, October 21 in Sioux Center but the Tigers got the equalizer in the 29
th minute and the temas played to a deadlock the rest of the match.
Dordt's goal came after a shot by
Marco Laenen that was saved less than 20 seconds into the contest. Balke Hansen was there to clean up the rebound and send it into the netting. Those two shots were Dordt's only shots on goal in the game.

Doane's goal came on a penalty kick for the equalizer.
Mitchell Dryden had four saves in the second half as Doane put four shots on frame in the first 27 minutes of the second half before the teams settled for the 1-1 draw.

- This is the first tie in the series since 2012 and stops a two-match winning streak in the series by Dordt.
