Dordt defeats Mount Marty 6-1
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dordt Defender women's soccer team took a 6-1 win from Mount Marty in GPAC play on Wednesday night, October 4 in Sioux Center, Iowa. The Defenders scored in the first five minutes of the game and rolled from there.
Keely Kolbrek scored on a header off a corner kick by
Abby Worthy for the 1-0 lead with less than four minutes gone.
Karinna Tel scored the next three. The first of the trio grazed a Mount Marty defender's back before finding the net and she outraced the defense and got it past the keeper who was drawn out.
Tel's third goal came off a double assist by
Sydney Hooyer and
Eliza Evans as the keeper gambled on the crossing pass and missed, leaving the goal open for Tel's 11
th of the season.

Hayden Jennett's goal nine minutes into the second half built Dordt's advantage to 5-1 and
Ashlyn Marjama finished the scoring off an assist by Evans in the final 10 minutes of the game. Evans' roller found Marjama 10 yards out in front of the goal for her second of the season.
