Dordt defeats Briar Cliff 78-59
HOW IT HAPPENED         
The Dordt Defender men's basketball team took the suspense out of its game with Briar Cliff early on and rolled to a 78-59 win on Wednesday night, December 6 in Sioux City, Iowa.
The Defenders never trailed and led 20-7 after a 
Lucas Lorenzen three-point basket and eventually pushed the lead to 19 in the first half before taking a 42-26 halftime lead after 
Luke Rankin beat the buzzer with a jumper.
Briar Cliff started the second half with a three-point basket but Dordt's answer was swift and the lead ballooned to 56-31 and remained over 20 points until the final minute when Briar Cliff scored to cut it to the final of 78-59.
THE NUMBERS
	- Dordt was 30-57 from the field and 55 percent success while also making 6-18 three-point shots and 12-14 free throws.
- Dordt held a 38-27 rebounding edge and held the Chargers to 24-67 shooting and 6-30 from the three-point line for 20 percent.
- Dordt is now 9-3 overall and 4-2 in the GPAC.
- Briar Cliff is 9-3 overall and 4-3 in the conference.
