(Wednesday, March 1; Sioux Center, Iowa) Jacob Schmoll has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender track program.
Schmoll has personal bests of 11.71 in the 100 meters, 23.96 in the 200 meters and 20-7 in the long jump. He has competed for the RACE Jaguars based in Rochester, Minnesota.
"I chose Dordt because of the Christ honoring atmosphere, the high quality nursing program and the great track team and facility," said Schmoll.
Jacob is the son of Jeffrey and Sara Schmoll of Rochester, Minnesota. He plans to study nursing at Dordt.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
