Tschida To Run For Defenders

(Friday, April 21; Sioux Center, Iowa) Wyatt Tschida, a student at Anoka Ramsey Community College (Minnesota), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defenders track & field program.  

Tschida ran for the Zimmerman High School track and field team where he competed in the hurdles and long jumped. He has personal bests of 16.93 in the 110 hurdles, 45.31 in the 300-meter hurdles and 18-7.5 in the long jump. Tschida placed fifth in the 110m hurdles at sectionals and sixth in the 300 hurdles. 

"I chose Dordt because it has a good engineering program and a good track and field team along with a good culture," said Tschida.   

Tschida is the son of Ton and Jen from Zimmerman, Minnesota. He plans to study engineering.

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?    

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
