With the Defenders in front 3-2 heading into the bottom of the seventh, Dakota Wesleyan pushed two runs across on two hits, a walk and an error to earn the come-from-behind win. J.T. Kostenbauer started the rally with a leadoff single off Dordt reliever
Charlie Hennessy (1-2), who then advance to second on a wild pitch. Kaleb Carmichael reached base on a Dordt fielding error and Lane Dorrow drew a walk to load the bases. Seth Christiansen came up and hit a line drive single that defected off Hennessy and scored Kostenbauer from third to tie the score 3-3. Gyeongju Kim, who limited DWU to four hits and two runs while striking out 11 Tiger hitters in six innings in registering the no-decision.
Nolan Christianson reached base three times and paced the Defenders with two hits and scored a run. Both
Drew Oreskes and

The Defenders added two runs in the second off DWU starter Jericko Martinez, who walked two, hit another batter and balked in a run within the inning. Oreskes had an RBI groundout that scored Harris and put Dordt up 3-1.
Kim allowed just two DWU baserunners, both on walks, over the next four innings. The Tigers broke through with a run in the sixth after a one-out single by Jirau who came around to score after an infield single and RBI groundout from Carter Gullickson. Kim, however, struck out pinch-hitter Oscar Pravecek with the tying run at third.

Jason Carrig delivering a single that scored
Logan De Vries and

A pair of bases loaded walks added to the lead in the fifth inning and
