(Thursday, May 18; Sioux Center, Iowa) Isaac Vos has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the track & field and cross country programs at Dordt.
"I am excited to have Isaac join our program. He is a great fit for Dordt University and our middle distance crew. He is a dedicated runner and a high character young man. I look forward to working with him the next four years," said Dordt cross country head coach and track & field assistant coach Nate Wolf.
He has personal bests of :55 in the 400 meters, 2:08 in the 800 meters, 5:03 in the 1600 and 11:56 in the 3200. He's run a 19:12 on a 5000 meter cross country course while running for Thompson Valley High School (Colorado).
"I chose to attend Dordt for the Christian community of like-minded individuals who seek to serve Christ in all they do and say," said Vos.
Isaac is the son of Brian and Deb Vos of Loveland, Colorado. He plans to study engineering.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
