HOW IT HAPPENED

The Defenders took a 3-1 lead in set one after a kill by Brooklyn Leusink and Dordt was still in front 14-12 after back to back kills by Riley Doenhoefer. Dordt came back with a 3-0 run to start set two and led 17-11 after a three-point Dordt run that included two kills from Bryleigh Schweer and a service ace by Lydia Van Kley. The teams traded points up to a 19-13 Dordt lead with Doenhoefer providing a pair of kills but the Tigers rallied and tied the set 21-21.
