The Dordt men's soccer team surrendered two second half goals in a loss to Hastings on Saturday evening in Sioux Center, Iowa.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Defenders struck first in the 13th minute as
Tyson Reitsma drew a handball in the penalty area and earned a penalty kick for the Defenders.
Anton Forsch stepped up and scored his second penalty of the season to give Dordt a 1-0 lead that they would hold until the 69th minute,
Hastings would draw a penalty of their own in the 69th minute after
Levi Jaeger was called for a foul on the goal line that set Tim Berger up for the equalizer and his ninth goal of the season.
Hastings added to their lead late in the 84th minute on a free kick that Lewis Albert was able to get a touch on to take the lead.
Dordt had a chance to salvage a tie with 30 seconds left in the game on another penalty kick but
Jacob Narkis' penalty was saved by Broncos' goalkeeper, Ethan Watkins.

- Hastings put up 16 shots, nine on goal

Dordt falls to 6-6-3 overall and 4-2-2 in GPAC play. Dordt will host the Dakota Wesleyan Tigers next Saturday during Defender Days for their final home game of the regular season.
