HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt scored first after forcing a Doane punt and marched 95 yards on 13 plays, finishing the drive with a one yard pass from
Kolson Kruse to
Cade Rohwer for the senior's first touchdown catch of the season. Dordt's defense remained stout but Doane's punt game didn't allow Dordt good field position.Â
Eliot Beal caught a five yard pass from Kruse with 5:11 left in the half to end a 75 yard drive that took 11 plays and 6:11 off the clock.
The Defenders managed to add a 30 yard
Stephen Leinen field goal and a
Daniel Dickerson one yard run for a 24-0 halftime lead.
Dordt extended the lead with a pair of
Kaden Harken touchdown grabs to finish drives of 75 and 97 yards. Harken had 10 grabs on the afternoon and had over 200 yards in receptions.  Doane dodged the shutout with a field goal with under a minute left in the game.
