The Dordt Defender volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Midland in the GPAC Quarterfinals and ends the season 14-16 in the 25-12, 25-17, 25-9 loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Midland started set one with a 7-0 lead and never looked back in securing the 25-12 win. Midland had the lead up to 10-1 before Dordt closed to 15-7 on one of
Haley Kuperus's three ace serves in the match. Midland secured the win 25-12 and took a 12-4 lead in set two as the Warriors limited Dordt's chances with strong defense at the net and five early ace serves in the two sets combined.
Myra Carlson and Kuperus had a kill and ace to get to within 12-8 but Midland answered swiftly and took the 25-17 final with Dordt getting no closer than the four points and Midland pulled away for a 25-9 win in set three to earn the sweep.
Midland will advance in GPAC Tournament play and will face Concordia in Seward, Nebraska on Wednesday night in the semifinal round.
