Dordt def. Dakota Wesleyan 74-65
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dordt Defenders used a 14-0 run early in the second half to take control of their game at Dakota Wesleyan in Mitchell, South Dakota and secured a nine-point win while fending off a Tiger comeback late in the game.
Dordt had a 29-26 lead late in the first half after a 
Lucas Lorenzen three-point basket but allowed seven unanswered points over the next two minutes and trailed 38-33 at halftime.  The hosts scored the first basket of the second half to take their biggest lead of the game but 
Ben Fairclough's basket with 16:36 remaining trimmed the lead back to five points.
Lucas Lorenzen followed with two three-point baskets and a two-point shot to give Dordt a 43-40 lead and Fairclough added a basket and 
Luke Rankin converted a basket for a 47-40 Dordt lead with 14:16 left in the game. A 
Ty Van Essen three-point shot, his second of the game put Dordt up 60-46 with 10:35 left in the game.
 
Wesleyan had a rally and got within 68-65 after a steal and dunk with 1:28 remaining. 
Bryce Coppock scored near the end of the shot clock on the next possession on a lay-up and free throws by 
Jackson Louscher and Lorenzen sealed the win.
 
THE NUMBERS
	- Dordt converted 28-65 field goals and 10-26 three-point shots while Dakota Wesleyan made 24-68 field goals and 10-32 three-point baskets.
- Dordt had a 43-40 rebounding edge and both teams had 10 turnovers.
- Dordt is 19-8 overall and 12-7 in the conference. Dakota Wesleyan is 14-13 and 9-10.
