Cambrie Krikke (Sanborn, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to attend Dordt University and join the Defender women's soccer program.
Krikke is a 5'8" midfielder who has played three years for Western Christian High School heading into her final season this spring. Krikke has been a three-year starter who accounted for 24 points (8 goals, 8 assists) during her career for the Wolfpack. She earned all-district honors the last two years and helped lead her team to the regional semifinals last season.
"I chose to attend Dordt because of the Christ-centered environment I felt and witnessed the moment I stepped on campus," said Krikke. "After meeting with the faculty, the coaches and the team, I knew Dordt was the place for me. It is a place where I can continue to grow in my faith and play soccer."
Krikke plans to study Nursing at Dordt and is the daughter of Josh and Glenda.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
