CALUMET MATCH
The Dordt men's volleyball lost a 3-0 decision to Calumet to start Saturday play at a classic hosted by Jamestown on Saturday, February 3.
Set one had Dordt up early but the Crimson Wave took the lead at the 13-12 mark and put together a six point run in the process for a 25-19 win.
Dordt rallied from an early deficit in set two and tied the set at 13-13 and led briefly after a service error. The score was tied at 21-21 before Calumet scored back to back points for a 23-21 lead and eventually won 25-23.
Calumet was in control in set three and extended the lead 25-15 to get the sweep.
THE NUMBERS
- Calumet had a 39-27 kills edge and Dordt was limited to a .032 kill efficiency.
- Calumet scored six points on blocks and Dordt scored five.

CAMPBELLSVILLE MATCH
The Campbellsville Tigers secured a sweep win over Dordt to end the Defenders' weekend in Jamestown. The Tigers led start to finish and were in control in the first set for a 25-19 win. Dordt recovered in the second set and led 23-22 after a
Nicodemus Elliott kill. Campbellsville responded with a kil and then a block and another Dordt attack error gave them a 2-0 match lead.
Dordt was down again in set three but fought back to tie the match at 21-21 on a
Lance Vermeer kill. A Dordt service error led to back-to-back points for the Tigers and Dordt got no closer than 23-22 before losing 25-22.
THE NUMBERS
- Campbellsville had a 47-37 kills advantage but Dordt hit .258 for the match but the Tigers hit .374.
- Dordt scored seven points on blocks and both teams had three ace serves.
