HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dordt Defender women's basketball team secured a 3-0 win over Central Christian (Kansas) on Saturday afternoon, March 2.
The Defenders had little trouble in securing the conference win on the road. An 18-2 run started the match and Dordt won it 25-8. Set two wasn't as lopsided with Dordt leading 20-10 before four unanswered by the Tigers made it 20-14.
Lance Vermeer got a kill after a Central Christian service error and after two Tiger setting errors
Robert Piekarz gave Dordt the win with an ace serve.
Dordt used a 6-0 run to build a 16-5 lead in set three. Central Christian used a four point run to narrow the difference but Dordt withstood the rally for a 25-18 win with
Nate Voogt scoring the final point on an ace serve.

- Dordt had a 32-15 kills advantage and hit .187.
- Dordt totaled 15 service aces and had a 33-21 digs advantage.
