HOW IT HAPPENED
Northwestern scored a run each in the third and fourth innings to take a 2-1 win from Dordt on Friday afternoon in Orange City in game one of the GPAC doubleheader.
Dordt had a 1-0 lead after
Dylan Stanley knocked in
Logan Harris but baserunners were limited the rest of the game as Dordt didn't get multiple runners on in any of the remaining frames and the three innings where Dordt had a base runner that runner didn't reach until there were two outs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Dordt dropped game two with Northwestern on Friday night in falling 9-4 in the GPAC doubleheader.
Northwestern scored four in the third and five in the fourth before Dordt got on the board with four runs in the seventh inning.
Jason Carrig had a two run homerun to highlight the seventh after
Josh Tiersma had scored on a balk and
Dylan Stanley singled in
Logan De Vries. Carrig knocked in Stanley with the homerun.
Neither team scored in the final two innings.
THE NUMBERS
- Dordt had a 6-4 hits advantage.
- Drew De Vries took the loss after allowing one hit over three and two-third innings with five strikeouts and threw walks. He was charged with four earned and two unearned runs.
- Bennett Spronk pitched four innings in relief and struck out seven and walked three with two hits and didn't allow a run.
- Carrig's homerun was Dordt's only extra base hit.
- Josh Tiersma, Anthony Rodriguez, Dylan Stanley, Kayden Dean and Logan De Vries all had singles and De Vries and Stanley walked twice.
- Dordt is 8-31 overall and 2-16 in league play.
