The Dordt Defenders dropped the final game of their road trip to the Govenors State Jaguars by a score of 6-0 on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Defenders got off to a rough start as they conceded four goals in the first 10 minutes of the match. The first goal game in the fourth minute and was scored by Andrea Croce. The Jaguars added another just a few minutes later after John Gonzalez netted a goal, assisted by Rafael Silverio and Flavio Di Palma.
Dordt had a chance with a corner kick in the eighth minute but Governors State was able to capitalize on a counter attack that put their third goal in scored by Flavio Di Palma, assisted by Rafael Silverio. Governors State scored another under a minute later and the half would end with Dordt trailing 4-0.Â
The Defenders had a chance early in the second half to cut down the lead on a
Jacob Narkis shot that was saved by the Jaguars keeper. Governors State added another goal in the 54th minute, scored by Javier Losa.
Jacob Narkis had another opportunity that was was saved.
Anton Forsch had shot that was saved and a shot that was wide of goal in the 58th minute. The Defenders best chance came when
Marco Laenen split the defense and had a one-on-one chance with the goalkeeper but his shot missed wide. Governors State added the sixth and final goal in the 71st minute, scored by Joan Gallardo.

Dordt's record falls to 0-2-1. Their next game will be on Friday, August 30 against the Grand View Vikings in Sioux Center, Iowa for the annual Pizza Ranch Classic.Â
