No.1 Dordt University matched its best start in program history with a huge 103-54 road win over Waldorf in a Great Plains Athletic Conference women's basketball match-up played tonight at the Hansen Fieldhouse in Forest City, Iowa.
The Defenders improve to 10-0 in the GPAC, maintaining a full two-game lead in the current conference standings, 16-0 overall while matching the best start in program history (16-0 in 2022-23). Waldorf drops to 2-8 in the conference, 4-11 overall.
How it Happened:
- Dordt scored the first nine points of the game and never trailed against the Warriors
- four different Defenders scored during the 9-0 run, finished off by a Willow Bleeker three-pointer
- after Waldorf cut the Dordt lead down to four (10-6), the Defenders closed the first quarter on an 8-2 run for an 18-8 lead
- Dordt went on an 11-0 run and missed just two field goal attempts in outscoring Waldorf 35-11 in the second quarter
