The Dordt University women's soccer team delivered a dominant performance on Wednesday evening, defeating Briar Cliff University 3-0 at the Defender Soccer Complex in a Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) showdown.
The Defenders (6-5-2, 5-2-1 GPAC) wasted no time asserting control, scoring all three of their goals in the first half. Senior forward
Maria Zylstra led the charge offensively with a career-high two goals, netting her first during the 18th minute on a penalty kick and adding another in the 33rd minute off a well-placed assist from
Karinna Tel.
Just eight minutes later,
Vicky Granda extended Dordt's lead to 3-0 with a clinical finish following a corner kick, assisted by
Joslyn Terpstra.Â

Lydia Zylstra anchored Dordt's defensive effort, recording
seven saves to earn the clean sheet.Â
Briar Cliff drops its record to 1-5-1 in the GPAC, 3-10-1 overall.
