The United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its regional awards for the 2025 season and Dordt University Head Coach
Nate Wolf was named the Midwest Region Women's Coach of the Year.
Wolf guided the Defenders to their sixth consecutive Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) women's championship two weeks ago (Nov.8) at the Mahoney State Park near Ashland, Neb. Dordt registered a near-perfect team score (17pts) and had all 10 of its runners earn all-conference honors by placing among the top 15 individuals. They finished well-ahead (59 points) of second place Morningside. This was the Defenders 12th overall GPAC title; nine under Coach Wolf.
Wolf's 2025 Defenders squad has won four team titles this season and has not lost to an NAIA team. The seventh-ranked Defenders qualified for their 14th straight NAIA National Championship, 11th under Coach Wolf, and will compete in Tallahassee, Fla. on Nov.21 at the 2025 championship event.
This is the third time Coach Wolf has been named the USTFCCCA Midwest Region Coach of the Year (2018, 2024 and 2025). He has been named the GPAC Women's XC Coach of the Year nine times.
