(Tuesday, December 23; Sioux Center, Iowa) The latest NAIA women's Basketball Coaches' Poll was released last week and the Dordt Defenders are no. 2 in the last poll before 2026. Dordt earned four first-place votes after absorbing its first loss of the season on December 6. Dordt is five points in front of Campbellsville (Kentucky) in the no. 3 spot.Â
The Defenders were 10-1 at the time of the poll and have since earned wins over no. 11 MidAmerica Nazarene (Kansas)  and Benedictine (Kansas) to improve to 12-1.   Dordt was a 64-48 winner over MidAmerica Nazarene and beat Benedictine 82-44. The Defenders will resume play on December 30 at home against Waldorf.
Dordt's start includes wins over no. 4 Dakota State, (RV) Hastings, no. 13 Briar Cliff, no. 10 Dakota Wesleyan, no. 9 Concordia and (RV) Grand View.
