The Dordt University men's golf team lost to Morningside in the third-place match on the final day of the Briar Cliff Match Play event at the Green Valley Golf Club in Sioux City, Iowa.
Dordt, the No.3 seed among the eight teams competing, lost 4-0 to No.3 seed Morningside and placed fourth overall. The Defenders finished the two-day event with a 1-2 record, defeating Concordia in its first match before falling to No.1 seed Northwestern in yesterday's semifinal.
Northeast Community College (Neb.) won the event and went a perfect 3-0 over the two days.
