The Dordt Defender baseball team won a pair of decisions on Friday against Calumet and Trinity Baptist to even its record at 9-9 with four games remaining on the Spring Break trip. Dordt was a 12-6 winner against Calumet to start the day and won a 16-15 game against Trinity Baptist to go to 4-2 on the trip and secured a four game winning streak in the process.

Dordt scored three runs in the first inning and eight in the final two innings for a 12-6 win and took advantage of six Calumet errors.
Drew Oreskes double in the first inning got two runs in and
Morgan Wilkins had a double in the sixth that scored two runs and gave Dordt a 7-1 lead. Dordt continued to control the game with a run on an error in the seventh and
Logan Templeton's double plated two more runs with
Luke Arndorfer and
Carson Belcher scoring a pair of unearned runs. Another error factored in to Dordt's 11
th run and Wilkins clubbed his second double for a 12-1 lead. Dordt then held on to win as Calumet pushed five across in its last at-bat.

An 11 run second inning helped Dordt to an early lead and two runs in the bottom of the eighth gave Dordt a one-run win.
Four hit batsmen with the bases loaded and a walk with the bases loaded accounted for five of Dordt's runs in the second and
Braeden Biggar had a grand slam as Dordt went up 11-0. Trinity Baptist came back with eight in the third to crawl back into the game.
Dordt was unable to hold off Trinity Baptist's rally and surrendered the lead in the eighth inning and trailed 15-14. A walk to Biggar with one out got the tying run to the plate but a strikeout was Dordt's second of the inning.
Carson Belcher was hit by a pitch and
Matthew McMillian followed with a double that scored both for a 16-15 lead.
Mason Price retired the side in order in the ninth inning to secure the win.
Dordt will play Siena Heights and Lawrence Tech on Saturday morning.
