The Dordt Defenders went on the road and lost a pair of games to conference front-running Concordia in Seward, Nebraska on Friday, April 18. The Bulldogs secured a game one win 17-5 and then overcame a deficit in game two to win a 14-3 decision. The two teams will play again on Saturday starting at 1:00.
Dordt is 17-27 overall and 6-16 in the GPAC while Concordia is 19-3 in the GPAC and 31-9 overall. Concordia has a five game lead in the loss column with six games remaining in the regular season.

The Bulldogs scored four in the first and ten in the second before the Defenders got all of their runs in the third inning with four hits and an error figuring into the scoring. A
DJ Kerr single after a leadoff walk to
Morgan Wilkins with a walk by Jimmy Twombley loaded the bases. A wild pitch scored a run and
Logan Harris singled to score a run and
Logan Templeton added a single that got two runs in.
Matthew McMillian singled in Templeton and Harris to bring the score back to 14-5.
Dordt's other scoring threat came in the fifth inning when Harris was hit by a pitch and Templeton singled but three strikeouts ended the threat.

Drew Oreskes gave Dordt a 3-0 lead in the first inning, getting
Logan Templeton and
Logan Harris in and Dordt was still up 3-1 in the fifth inning when Concordia took the lead with a four run frame.
Three more runs in the sixth and six in the eight ended the game by the 10-run difference rule.
