The Dordt Defender baseball team lost a pair of games to the Concordia Bulldogs in Seward, Nebraska on Saturday, April 19. The Defenders lost 23-1 in game one and 11-1 in game two as the Bulldogs wrapped up the regular season title with four games to play. Dordt is now 6-18 in the GPAC and 17-29 overall. Concordia is 21-3 in the league and 33-9 overall.

GAME ONE
The Concordia Bulldogs scored six in the first, one in the second and six in the third on the way to a 13-0 lead and added ten more in the fifth and sixth combined. Dordt's run came in the sixth inning with
DJ Kerr getting a double that got
Logan Templeton across. Dordt had two runners stranded when that inning ended and loaded the bases in the seventh before the side was retired.

GAME TWO
A five run third inning broke a scoreless tie and started Concordia on the way to an 11-1 win in game two.
Dordt's run came in the fourth inning with
Logan Templeton getting a double to lead off the inning and he scored on a ground out by
Drew Oreskes after a wild pitch. Dordt had baserunners in five of the seven innings and had two runners on base in two of the frames.
Concordia scored two in the fourth for a 7-1 lead and added three in the fifth and finished the game with a run in the seventh for a shortened win.
