(Wednesday, June 4; Sioux Center, Iowa) The 2025 NAIA Academic All-District Baseball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. Four Dordt baseball players earned the honor for the recently completed season.

Carson Belcher (Junior; Arvada, Colorado),
Jared Hughes (Senior; Newbury Park, California),
Joseph Schlesselman (Sophomore; Santa Clara, California) and
Bennett Spronk (Junior; Pella, Iowa) all claimed honors for the first time in their careers.
Belcher is studying Health & Human Performance and had a 3.86 grade point average. He batted .270 with 33 hits and 22 runs batted in this season.
Hughes graduated after studying Health & Human Performance with a 3.59 grade point average. Hughes had three wins on the mound with 59 2/3 innings of work with 42 strikeouts and was a 2024 Honorable Mention All-GPAC honoree.
Schlesselman is a sophomore and is studying Accounting and Business Administration and carries a 4.0 grade point average. He batted .229 with 33 hits and knocked in 22 runs.
Spronk is a junior and is studying Biology and has a 3.68 grade point average. He had two wins on the mound with 44 1/3 innings and had 46 strikeouts in 2025 and claimed All-GPAC Honorable Mention.
To be nominated for the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District baseball team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, both academically and athletically, with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50. They must either compete in at least 90% of their team's games or start in at least 66% of their team's games and pitcher must have made at least 17 mound appearances or pitched 25.0 innings.
