(Wednesday, August 27; Sioux Center, Iowa) The first NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll of the 2025 season has been released and the Dordt Defenders start the poll 19^th. 

The Defenders were 8-2 in 2024 and garnered 158 points in voting done by representatives of each of the NAIA football conferences.  The Defenders have posted seven wins or more in seven straight seasons.

Dordt is 13 points behind OUAZ (Ariz.) in the balloting and 24 points in front of Campbellsville (Ky.).  Defending national champion Grand View (Iowa) is the unanimous no. 1 pick with fellow GPAC members Morningside (3), Northwestern (7) and Concordia (21).

Dordt will open the season at home against Dakota Wesleyan on Saturday, September 6 at 1pm. Dordt's next two games are on the road against Doane (September 13) and Northwestern (September 27) before returning home on October 4 to face Briar Cliff. The GPAC schedule consists of 10 games.
