Dordt University women's soccer put together a dominant performance on the road Saturday night, rolling to a 6-0 victory over Mount Marty at Youngworth Stadium in Yankton, S.D.
The win keeps the Defenders unbeaten in GPAC play (2-0-1) and improves their overall record to 3-3-2. Mount Marty suffered its first loss in the conference (2-1) and drops to 5-4 overall.
Karinna Tel led the offensive explosion with a first-half hat trick, scoring in the 4th, 7th, and 14th minutes. Tel's third goal marked her GPAC-leading 13th of the season and came off assists from
Faith Mondeel,
Jenna Roberts, and
Joslyn Terpstra.
Roberts added two goals of her own, including a first-half strike in the 23rd minute and a second-half finish in the 64th. Terpstra also found the back of the net in the 55th minute, assisted by
Kendal Gordon, giving Dordt a 5-0 lead early in the second half.
Defensively, the Defenders were anchored by senior goalkeeper
Lydia Zylstra, who recorded four saves and earned her second shutout of the season.
Dordt scored four goals in the first 23 minutes and added two more in the second half to seal the win. The Defenders' back line held firm, allowing just four shots on goal and keeping the Lancers off the scoreboard despite 12 total attempts.

- this was the seventh career shutout for Zylstra and second of the 2025 season
- Dordt improved to 22-1-2 all-time against Mount Marty
