Dordt made it a sweep of Missouri in ACHA Division III hockey on Saturday afternoon at the Vernon Arena in Sioux Center, Iowa with a 6-2 win.
For the second game in a row the game was tight early and Dordt pulled away and dominated the last period for the win.
Levi Loken started the scoring with a goal at the 11:35 mark of the second period for a lead that held until there was 1:48 left when Missouri tied it 1-1.
Mason Carrels put Dordt up 2-1 on an
Isaac Baart's second assist and
Rylan Veenstra scored 90 seconds later for a 3-1 advantage. Missouri did get a goal with 14:47 left in the game to get within 3-2.
Mason Spejcher,
Tegan Doelman and
Reuben Horneman all had goals to put the game out of reach and Baart added his third assist in the process.
Isaiah Van Noord had 26 saves as Dordt had a 57-28 shots advantage and Dordt had 45 shots in the final 40 minutes.
Dordt is 22-3 and will face Nebraska to close the regular season on February 6 and 7 in Sioux Center.
