The Dordt University Defender women's basketball team was efficient on offense and used defensive pressure in Forest City, Iowa, beating Waldorf 99-38 on Saturday afternoon. Dordt is 27-1 overall and finish the GPAC season with a 21-1 record and will be the top-seed in the postseason tournament beginning on Wednesday.

The Defenders set the tone immediately with an overwhelming 27-5 opening frame, highlighted by a 16-0 run to start the game. During that initial surge,
Gracie Schoonhoven ignited the offense with two quick baskets, while
Macy Sievers and
Desta Hoogendoorn dominated the paint with back-to-back layups. The defense held Waldorf to 12 points in the entire first half, allowing Dordt to enter the locker room with a commanding 39-point lead.
Dordt refused to take their foot off the gas in the second half, opening the third quarter with a 12-2 burst.
Macy Sievers orchestrated the run with two assists to Hoogendoorn and a steal that led to her own transition bucket, followed by a Schoonhoven basket that pushed the lead past 50.
The Defenders' depth proved itself in the fourth quarter with
Nikki McSpadden and
