Hockey | Morgan Named Conference Coach Of The Year

(Tuesday, March 10; Sioux Center, Iowa) The MidAmerica College Hockey Association (MACHA) has announced its honors for the 2025-26 season and Dordt's Tyler Morgan has been named the Coach of the Year for the third straight year.

Morgan guided the Defenders to a 27-3 record and a berth in the ACHA Division III National Championship field for the second straight year after earning an automatic berth into the event with the program's second straight MACHA Tournament title.

The Defenders are102-32-3 in the five-plus seasons he has served as head coach and the team has claimed two MACHA Silver Division regular season titles and two tournament championships in the last four years.  Dordt is 51-9-1 the last two years and will open ACHA National play in St. Louis on Wednesday, March 17 in the first of three pool play games against Nebraska-Omaha. This is Dordt's fifth overall berth in the ACHA Division III field.
